Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the 2013-2014 school year! I'm excited to work with you this year! Please take some time to look over this site. I've left all of the posts from last school year up for you to have available during this school year. Maybe I taught a lesson better last year, so why get rid of it now!? :) If you have questions, please email me at kenneth.mach@k12northstar.org.

Thanks!

Tuesday Update

Hello! Well, the plan for today was to go over dividing with whole numbers. However, we got a little off track when I realized that we were having a hard time with multiplying whole numbers with 3 or more digits. So, there is no homework tonight, because I gave a "pop-quiz" today. It was one question, and I gave each student multiply chances to get it correct.

If you'd like to see the problem, come ask me in class. I'll try to remeber to post it later. .. or maybe I'll just to a movie about it. Did you see I got the mini-lesson from last time working?! Check it out when you have a chance! Thanks!

See you tomorrow!

It's been a long time!

Hello math 7 students and parents!

It has been a long time since I've posted. At this point, I'm back to teaching all of my classes full time. Mr. Kern, my student teacher, has accepted a position using his engineering degree, and is no longer working in my classroom. I'm sorry to see him go, but excited to back teaching you guys again!

For the next couple of weeks, we will be reviewing for the SBA test happening the first week of April. We are currently working on a practice test that the students are competing to be the first to finish. There will be a prize for the winning team. After the testing, we will be moving into chapter 7 in the book (ratio, rates, percents, and proportions).

Let me know if you have any questions!

Let's have a great final quarter!
