Welcome!

Hello and welcome to the 2013-2014 school year! I'm excited to work with you this year! Please take some time to look over this site. I've left all of the posts from last school year up for you to have available during this school year. Maybe I taught a lesson better last year, so why get rid of it now!? :) If you have questions, please email me at kenneth.mach@k12northstar.org.

Thanks!
Mr. Mach

Rates!! They're all over!!

Our topic today was rates. Specifically, how to take a rate and turn it into a unit rate. Not too tricky, just divide the numerator (top number) by the denominator (bottom number). Here are the notes from today.

The students also had a warm-up to start the day. These are some extra examples to help with the homework on ratios.

And finally, here are the screen shots of the work I did to show how to do several of the problems from the homework on ratios.

The homework:
Lesson 7.2
#'s 5-19 odds
